Fashion Tips on What to Wear in a Wedding

By Sudesh Poojari

Tip! Now that you have decided what favors to give, the next question is how many favors to give per couple or family. For the most part, one wedding favor per guest or couple or family will suffice.

Dressing up for a wedding day can be very tedious job especially when you are in jeopardy in selecting the dress. Well here are some tips that might help you to get your style sense in right direction on that most important wedding.

There are many types of weddings and in accordance to those you can select a dress from your wardrobe. For an informal Daytime a women can wear a short dress or a suit and for an informal evening, cocktail dress can be your right choice. Similar dressing up for a semi-formal daytime and semi-formal evening would do. But for a formal daytime you should consider accompanying gloves and hat with short dress or suit and for formal evening or black tie long dress or dressy short cocktail dress, even beaded would look just perfect. For an ultra-formal or white tie, a long gown, with a fur scarf, diamonds and accessories is perfect.

There are other few things that you should take care about while selecting a dress beside above and those are, while going for a wedding don't ever wear a white, because it competes with the bride, there are plenty of other colors around you just need to search them. Don't wear black or sequins during daytime looks very inauspicious. Once I told about the bride that doesn't mean you even need to bother about bridesmaids or mothers, you can't coordinate with everyone in the wedding party. Wear something feminine and appropriate, out of respects for your hosts. Overtly sexy clothing, club wear doesn't belong at a wedding.

There few more things that I feel like addressing as if not considered may put all your efforts in vain, like don't wear top of arm gloves with anything but sleeveless or strapless gowns. Do take off gloves to eat or drink. Use good judgment if the invitation does not specify the formality of the event. A pastel suit or soft floral dress for daytime or a little black dress for evening will take you almost anywhere.

Tip! If you think you may frequently wear your band without your engagement ring, you may prefer a different type of band. for example, some women prefer to wear only their wedding band at the office; some prefer to wear their engagement ring only in social situations.

How To Choose Just The Right Lingerie For Your Wedding

By Gregg Hall

Create Your Own Wedding Flowers. Step-by-step Guide to creating fantastic wedding flowers.

Bridal lingerie is something that is often overlooked or not thought about when planning a wedding but is just as important a consideration as the actual wedding dress. What's the point in spending several hundred or even a couple of thousand on a wedding dress and then wear some old everyday lingerie you have had for years to go along with it?

Bridal lingerie is made particularly to enhance you figure and to make your wedding dress look as beautiful as it should. If you purchase the correct bridal lingerie it will also be very supportive. You can get bridal lingerie in a variety of colors and styles so once you have decided on a wedding gown you can begin the process of shopping for coordinating lingerie.

The type of lingerie you get for wearing under your wedding dress will depend upon what type of wedding dress you have chosen. If you have chosen a dress with a very low cut back certain types of bridal corsets simply will not work because they will be seen. This is why it is crucial to plan this all out in advance.

Choose a bustier if you are wearing a dress that is strapless or one that bears the shoulders instead of just wearing a strapless bra. The bustier will be much more supportive, hugging your torso and enhancing your breasts with an upward push. Almost everyone could use that! A bustier is definitely recommended if you are a plus size or if you are wearing a dress with a very low cut back.

Tip! If you are purchasing wedding rings with diamonds or other stones be sure to have them checked over by an independent jeweler to make sure you are paying the right price for the stone. Any diamonds over one carat in size should come with some form of documentation.

It is also advisable to buy special panties to go along with the rest of your bridal lingerie ensemble. Choose a panty that will fit very close and not show any lines especially if you are wearing a tight fitting wedding gown that forms to your figure. The last thing you want while you are walking down the aisle to your Groom is panty lines!

Wedding Dresses

By Marcus Peterson

101 Wedding Vows. Perfect wedding vows to help you say exactly how you feel about your loved one.

All women dream of having the perfect wedding. What else makes a perfect wedding but a wedding dress that will make every bride look like a queen even for a day or night, depending on the time of the wedding ceremony?

A wedding dress is a piece of clothing worn by a bride during the wedding ceremony. The color, style, and over all look of the gown depends on the couple's culture and religion.

In modern times, western culture wedding dresses normally come in white and various shades of white, namely eggshell, ivory, or ecru. The use of white for wedding gowns may have its origin in the 1840s during the marriage of Queen Victoria to Albert of Saxe-Coburg. The queen chose white as the color of her wedding dress and other women followed her lead.

Tip! The Egyptians were the first recorded civilization to use the wedding ring. In Egyptian hieroglyphics a circle represented eternity.

During the Victorian era, women opted to get married wearing a gown in a color of their choice except black because that is related to mourning, and red that is associated with prostitutes. The white dress since became a symbol for purity of the heart and childhood innocence. Later, the color white became synonymous with virginity.

The term bridal gown came from the word al which means party combined with bride equals bridal party gown. In the Middle Ages, wedding parties were simply known as Brid-als. A bridal train is the word used for the part of the wedding dress that trails behind the bride. The term came from similar trains worn by kings and queens which are derived from peacocks that were known as royal birds.

Tip! You can easily shop for a men's wedding ring at your local jeweler, or you can check out one of the hundreds of online jewelers.

Veils are clothing worn exclusively by women to cover some part of her head or face. A Western woman normally wears a veil on her wedding day if she chooses an all white wedding motif. Brides used to wear their hair long, flowing down their back during their wedding to symbolize virginity. Nowadays, the white veil is often used to represent virginity.

So the next time you look at the blushing bride as she walks down the aisle in her wedding dress, you know how this wedding dress evolved into what it looks today.
